At Williemays Industries, community support is at the heart of everything we do. Last week, we extended a helping hand to the Breast Cancer Unit at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, with a donation of GH¢10,000 and essential medical supplies.
The items — including face masks, gloves, detergents, disinfectants, paper towels, and other protective equipment — will help protect patients and frontline healthcare workers while easing the burden of care.
Speaking at the event, our Managing Director, Mrs. Barbara Dedjoe, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer. She announced that one pesewa from every bottle of Mays Crystal sold will go directly to support the Breast Cancer Unit, helping reduce treatment costs for patients.
“
Breast cancer is becoming a major public health challenge in Ghana, with nearly 2,900 new cases each year, The diagnosis brings not only medical costs but also emotional trauma for patients and their families. We want them to know they are not alone — that their community, and companies like ours, stand with them.-Mrs. Dedjoe
She also encouraged families to offer extra support to loved ones battling the disease, emphasizing how emotional comfort can make recovery easier.
Since 2019, Williemays Industries has produced safe, high-quality, and affordable purified water for Ghanaians. But our mission goes beyond hydration — it’s about contributing to healthier, stronger communities.
At Mays Crystal, we believe every bottle counts — and together, we can make a lasting impact in the fight against breast cancer.
